AI visibility raises new questions for marketing teams: where does our brand appear, why are competitors being recommended, and what can we do to improve our AI visibility? Connecting those questions to a clear campaign strategy is where brands need practical support.
To help brands take that next step, Jodie Millward is stepping into the role of Sales Director at EMNA AI, helping brands improve their AI visibility through analysis and targeted publisher content campaigns. She’ll also support marketing teams in building the case for investment, agreeing priorities and bringing colleagues across SEO, Brand, Content and Performance together around a shared approach.
Previously Sales Director at Tradedoubler, Jodie brings experience across affiliate marketing, publisher content and agency partnerships. Before joining Tradedoubler, she led UK agency partnerships at Linkby, helping brands including Apple Music, Disney+ and Samsung secure editorial coverage.
Talking AI visibility and publisher partnerships with Jodie
We spoke with Jodie about what attracted her to EMNA AI, the lessons she brings from her career and how she plans to support brands in her new role.
What attracted you to the Sales Director role at EMNA AI, and what are you most looking forward to?
AI is changing incredibly quickly, and I believe we’re seeing one of the biggest shifts in consumer behaviour since the rise of the internet and social media. The way people discover, research and consider products is evolving, and that makes this a really exciting space to be working in.
What I’m most looking forward to is being part of something that is still so new. Everyone is learning as the space develops, and I’m excited about going on that journey alongside the EMNA AI team, as well as the brands and publishers we’re partnering with. It’s a chance to help shape how this market develops.
Your experience spans affiliate marketing and editorial partnerships. What have you learnt about building successful brand and publisher relationships that you’ll bring to EMNA AI?
A lot of my experience has been centered around content creation and helping brands reach the right audiences. I started out working in-house at a publisher, creating sponsored content that helped brands get their message in front of consumers through a trusted third-party voice.
I then moved into ad tech, where I worked directly with brands to build bespoke content campaigns. A big part of the role was understanding each brand’s objectives and matching them with the right publishers to reach the right audiences. That gave me a strong understanding of how content, audience relevance and trusted publisher relationships can work together to drive both brand visibility and commercial impact.
Moving into AI visibility feels like a really natural next step, especially as the way people discover and research products is changing so quickly.
EMNA AI helps brands measure their visibility in AI answers and act on those insights through publisher content campaigns. Why is that connection between insight and action important for the brands you’ll be working with?
Insight is only valuable if you can act on it. A brand can understand where it is or isn’t appearing in AI answers, but the real challenge is knowing what to do next to improve that visibility.
From the conversations I’ve had with brands, there is uncertainty around which team owns AI visibility and who is actually responsible for turning the insight into a live campaign.
That’s where EMNA AI comes in. We don’t just provide the data and reporting, we manage the campaign on behalf of the brands sharing the knowledge, expertise and publisher network that has been built over the last 25 years by our sister brand, Tradedoubler.
Because we already have established relationships with the publishers, we have a clear and straightforward route to market. That means we can launch and manage the campaign end to end for the brand, from publisher activation through to ongoing delivery and reporting.
As Sales Director, what will your main priorities be in helping brands get more from EMNA AI?
My main priority will be helping brands understand the importance of AI visibility and giving them the data, insight and market context they need to build that case internally.
For many businesses, AI visibility is still a new area, so part of my role will be helping teams understand where they currently stand, how consumer discovery is changing, and what the risk is of not investing early while competitors are building their presence.
Beyond that, I want to help brands move from simply measuring visibility to having a clear strategy for improving it. That means identifying the biggest opportunities, agreeing what success should look like, and making sure campaigns are focused on the markets, publishers and content themes that will have the greatest impact.
A big part of the role will also be bringing different internal teams together. AI visibility can sit across SEO, Digital, Brand, Content and Performance, so helping clients create a clear internal narrative around ownership, investment and measurement will be really important.
Ultimately, I want EMNA AI to be seen as a long-term strategic partner, not just a platform that shows brands where they rank today, but a team that helps them understand where the market is going and gives them a clear plan for improving their visibility over time.
